Alentejo Cycle Works

Bikes, tools, and open road from a small workshop in Beja.

Sales and service for riders who want honest advice — not a chain-store pitch. We keep wheels turning across the plains.

More than a counter

We are not just a bicycle shop.

Alentejo Cycle Works is a local hub for an active, outdoor life — sales, careful maintenance, and shared kilometres on Alentejo roads and trails. We encourage sport, leisure, and good company on two wheels.

Sales floor

Road, gravel, MTB, and city bikes chosen for Portuguese hills and plains — fitted in person, not shipped from a warehouse.

Workshop care

Tune-ups, rebuilds, and seasonal checks with original parts where it matters. Multi-brand service from daily riders to weekend racers.

Guided rides

Local loops, gravel days, and community rides that show Beja’s landscape at the right pace.

Rental & advice

Borrow a bike for visitors, or talk through gear, nutrition basics, and routes before you leave town.

Service centre pride

Shimano-trained mechanics. Multi-brand care.

We are proud to offer workshop standards aligned with Shimano service training — skilled hands, current tools, and respect for every drivetrain that rolls through our doors. We service many brands; we are not a franchise showroom.

From a simple brake bleed to a full overhaul, our bench work aims for the same outcome: a bike that feels trusted when the road opens up.

Since founding

Built in Beja, for Beja riders.

After years working the floor and bench in other shops, we opened Alentejo Cycle Works to create a place with time for conversation, proper fitting, and repairs done once — properly.

Today neighbours, touring cyclists, and club riders know us as a reference point in the south: professional, straightforward, and rooted in this region.
